The African Horned Cucumber is a very exotic cucumber variety from Africa that, as it's a climbing plant, crests a height of up to 3 metres. Cucumbers originally have prickles that were eliminated through selective breeding in our common cucumber. In the African horned cucumber, the prickles are still clearly visible. The taste of its fruits is a sweet mixture of banana and passion fruit flavour. They change their colour when fully ripe from green to orange-yellow and look very decorative in the course of this. For consumption, the fruits are sliced in length and the innards are spooned out.
