There are, however, some types of vegetables that grow and thrive even on such a limited area. This makes it possible for almost everyone to experience the happiness of growing their own vegetables, since you can simply place a balcony box on a windowsill outside the window.
The joy will be enormous when you can really harvest at the end and the fresh ingredients are processed in the kitchen into a good, delicious meal. Of course, this method is not sufficient for self-sufficiency, but it is fun and you can continuously sow and harvest again.

Radish 'Sora' (organic) (Raphanus sativus)
’Sora’ is a crunchy, bright-red, round-shaped radish variety, which thrives well all year around.
Spinach 'Matador' (organic) (Spinacia oleracea)
Spinach grows fast in the garden and on the balcony. The healthy leaves are used as salad and vegetables.
Leaf lettuce 'Salad Bowl' (organic) (Lactuca sativa)
'Salad Bowl' is a beautiful, re-growing oak leaf lettuce variety with a long lasting harvesting period.
