Chop Suey Green is an unusual spice herb from the Far Eastern cookery. The small blossom buds are an essential ingredient for the Chinese 'mum fire pot' and for Chop Suey.

Recently, the fleshy, young leaves of the Chop Suey Green have also been steamed or eaten raw in the West. Several years ago, the botanical name was changed into 'Giebionis Coronaria' - crowndaisy.
