The perennial dandelion is very undemanding in cultivation. The seeds are sown either in March to May or directly outdoors in August. In order to harvest leaves as long as possible and keep them from getting bitter, the flowers should be broken off. In autumn, the turnips can be lifted and used like chicory for sprouting indoors.
