The Cup and Saucer Vine is a very fast-growing climber that originates from Mexico. Unfortunately, it can only be used annually in Europe as, as a tropical plant, it's not hardy. In Mexico, it can be admired as a perennial shrub. Nevertheless, the sowing is absolutely worth it as it forms beautiful, large bell flowers and is a continuously blooming plant. The separately standing blossoms first appear slightly unremarkable in light green-white. They, however, change colour from purple to white. To get something out of this climber as fast and for as long as possible, sowing should ideally already be planned as indoor preculture from February. Of course, you can try to hibernate the plant indoors. Therefore, clearly prune the plant and place the pot in a light and cool spot indoors.
