This parsley species has curly leaves and it is said that the curly varieties often are more flavoursome. Particularly in German cuisine parsley is amongst the most popular and commonly used herbs which is why it really cannot be missed in any herb garden.

Fortunately, parsley is really easy to grow in pots, so you can keep it well on a window sill, your balcony or terrace if you do not have a garden.

Sow directly outdoors or as pot plant from March till July, about 0,5cm deep into the soil. The seeds need a minimum of +7°C to germinate.
In the garden parsley prefers a half-shaded location, soil rich of humus and a good depth.
Parsley only has one particular requirement. It needs to be planted in a different location in the garden each year, as it is incompatible with itself.
