Dang Shen, a Chinese cathedral bell, is a climber which roots are used as an inexpensive surrogate for Ren Shen, also known as ginseng, in China. The pleasantly sweet, similar to dry fruits tasting, roots can be eaten as a snack. After the consumption of a pencil-sized piece Dang Shen, you feel clear and strengthened. In China, Dang Shen is also spread as a restorative during the nursing period.
