The European Goldenrod is applied for bladder and kidney problems and can be often found in diuretic teas from the pharmacy. Its anti-inflammatory and flushing characteristics are utilized here. Apart from that, the European goldenrod is suitable for dyeing. You receive a gold-yellow shade. Its blossoms can be often seen on roadsides in summer and appear as a yellow sea of blossoms. In the near-natural garden, it's a welcomed dash of colour in the summerly/ autumnally shrub bed as it's a great food source for many insects. The inflorescences are very well suitable as a cut flower for colourful late summer bouquets as well as dried.
