Exotic - seeds of tropical and other exotic plants not native to Central Europe

Here in ‘Exotic’ you’ll find plants from all over the world – seeds for plants not originally native to Europe that have found their way here nonetheless. Mostly they come from other climate zones – from the tropics, the subtropics, the tundra, mountain regions or deserts.

Many of these special plants were introduced to Europe back when Christopher Columbus and others were exploring the globe. Some have adjusted to European climates, others can only grow in greenhouses, under artificial living conditions.

Some have become so normal for us now that we don’t give them a second thought and regard them as native.

Some crops from the tropics and subtropics can also thrive, and even produce fruit, in European climates. Tea growing was recently introduced in the UK, for example.
The exotic plant seeds in our range include coffee, tobacco, bananas, cactuses, palms and many other unique plants.
