These eight organic flower varieties are very uncomplicated and easy to care for. Growing them in your garden will provide colourful, freshly-cut bouquets for your vase arrangements from spring through to winter:

Dahlia 'Bishop's Children' (Dahlia verabilis)
A beautiful Mexican variety that flowers in many shades of red forming large single blooms.
Clustertop Vervain (Verbena bonariensis)
Very delicate, tall-growing shrub from South America. Its tenderly purple inflorescences often waver above all the other blossoms in the flower bed.
Black Barlow (Aquilegia vulgaris)
An undemanding, perennial wildflower with beautiful, purple blossoms that's especially attractive to bees due to its high nectar content.
Bearded Pink 'Sweet William' (Dianthus barbatus)
Its edible blossoms already appear early in the year and are very popular as cut flowers
Claw Aster (Callistephus chinensis)
In China, it has already been cultivated for 2000 years and in Europe since the 18th century as a decorative plant in summer borders and cottage gardens as well as as a cut flower.
Snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus)
Very old cultivar from the Mediterranean region. Blooms all summer long in many different colourful colours.
Purple Cone-Flower/ Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta)
Annual prairie flower from North America. Forms a sea of bright, sun yellow blossoms all summer long.
Low Zinnia 'Dwarf Mix' (Zinnia elegans)
Large, colourful blossoms that always look beautiful and suit colourful summer bouquets very well.
