This seed set contains organic seeds for 6 types of green manure, which serve to improve the soil in the raised bed:

Marigold (organic) (Calendula officinalis)
Uncomplicated, colourful medicinal plant that has an anti-inflammatory effect and promotes wound healing. However, it also has many other excellent qualities.
Borage (organic) (Borago officinalis)
Fresh chopped borage leaves lend a beautiful flavour to any cucumber salad, homemade dip or crème cheese spread and they also form one of the essential ingredients needed for preparing 'Frankfurter Grüne Sauce', the famous green sauce from Frankfurt. Its small, star-shaped blue flowers are also delicious added to salads, puddings and wild herb soups.
Golden marigold 'Yellow' (organic) (Tagetes tenuifolia)
A luxuriant flowering ornamental & spice plant with bright yellow edible flowers with citrus aroma. Frost-sensitive insect magnet.
Lacy phacelia (organic) (Phacelia tanacetifolia)
It is extremely popular with bumblebees, bees and butterflies as a source of nectar. Because of its beautiful flowers it is also an attraction in the cottage garden and an appreciated green manure.
Common sunflower (organic) (Helianthus annuus)
The impressively large and cheery flower heads of sunflowers attract bees and other useful insects till autumn and they are also popular with birds that love to feed off their delicious sunflower seeds.
Common corn-cockle (organic) (Agrostemma githago)
A beautiful wild herb from the Mediterranean region, which today has landed on the red list of endangered plants. Good nectar plant for useful insects.

The seeds of each variety are packaged in a separate sachet.
