Ethnobotanical plants are often also called magical plants as, in former days, magical cures were made out of them. They are used for healing, for producing magic, and as access to the spiritual world. Bittersweet nightshade, mandrake, fly agaric, and henbane are plant names that can send chills up and down your spine.
As fumigation, many plants are closely connected to religious rituals. Ethnobotanical plants were often allotted to the gods or were considered the incarnation of divine plant devas themselves.
This card in black and white, hand-drawn design takes you along into the spiritual plant world.
