A Cuban tobacco variety as it's usually used for Havanna cigars. Havanna Tobacco belongs to the best cigar tobaccos in the world. Tobacco has already been smoked for a very long time in South American countries and belongs to the cultural property there. In the 18th century, also the first Europeans in the American colonies acquired a taste for it.

Annual plant for the garden (under tropical conditions, Havana tobacco may be perennial). Likes lots of sun, water and fertilizer. Sowing: preculture from February.
