Gillyflowers, also called Hoary Stocks or Wallflowers, are typical garden plants for the cottage garden - they are among the oldest ornamental plants and have been cultivated already in ancient Rome. I former times, they were highly appreciated because of their fragrant, beautiful blossoms. The hoary stock belongs to the crucifers, to which innumerable crops belong - therefore, it's not surprising that their blossoms don't only spread a pleasant smell but are also edible and perfectly suitable for decorating desserts. They can also be used boiled as a fruit vegetable. Our seeds are a mixture of various colours.
