Numex Twilight is not only productive but beautiful with a rainbow of colours! It is a small-leaved variety that grows up to half a meter and produces whole a lot of small, medium-hot chilies that are held upright on the plant and reach approx. 3cm. They mature from purple to yellow to orange and finally red - it looks very pretty and is also lovely as a patio container plant. This attractive variety was cultivated by Dr. Paul Bosland in 1992 (Chile Pepper Institute of the New Mexico State University), based on a chili plant that was discovered wildly growing in Jalisco (Mexico). Numex Twilight is used fresh in salsas, dried, or pickled.
