Aquatic and marsh plants
Aquatic plants are plants which are adapted to growing entirely or partly in water, as would be the case in riverbeds, swamps and marshlands. Some species grow only in fresh-water conditions while others thrive in seawater or brackish water.
The technical term for all aquatic plants is hydrophyte.
