Like witloof, radicchio and catalogna, leaf chicory belongs to the chicory salads that all trace back to common chicory. It's an ideal, last salad for the autumn and winter harvest. Leaf chicory is also a stunner in the bed as it forms firm, oval, and mostly slightly pointy heads. These can reach a height of up to 45cm and weigh around 2kg. This salad variety appears especially picturesque because of its wavy, slightly curled leaves.
