The term 'microgreens' or 'baby leaf lettuce' actually denominates a colorful mixture of different plant species, the leaves of which are suitable for continuous cutting and harvesting. They can usually also be cultured together in balcony plant containers, pots or beds, as you always harvest the fresh young lettuce leaves individually. If you want to serve a colorful salad in the evening, you can freshly harvest the lettuce immediately before preparation, even if all you have is a little space on the windowsill.
