Mugwort has already been sacred among the Celts and Teutons, for what reason it bore the name power root or energy root. It was part of nearly every ritual. When being fumigated, it shrouds the body in a pleasant warmth, gives confidence and strength, and dispels negative thoughts.

On the one hand, due to its digestive effect, mugwort is the most important spice for roast goose sauce, on the other hand, our ancestors have already put mugwort into the sauce to consecrate this holiday roast with this sacred herb. Mugwort tea is used for women's disorders in many countries. Midwives have also used the medicinal effect of the medicinal plant since old times. Mugwort has been a part of European culture for ages.

In Chinese medicine, it's used as Chinese mugwort.

Robust, hardy, and perennial shrub. Sowing of the seeds outdoors from March, only cover with soil lightly as they need light to germinate. The distance between the plants should be about 30cm.

Loves sunny and slightly moist locations but also survives shorter dry periods without any problems. In good locations, the plant forms enormously many seeds and sows itself rapidly - to prevent that, the panicles should be harvested in good time before the heyday. They can be used for the preparation of tea.
