As the variety name 'Nantes' already suggests, this carrot variety belongs to the Nantaise-type. Nantaise carrots are long, lean, and cylindrical, with a blunt tip. At first, they might form a pointed tip but when they mature, it will become increasingly blunt. The Nantes carrot forms beautiful, orange, long, and lean roots with a crisp, sweet, narrow core. It is an early to mid-early carrot with a maturation period of about 110-120 days. It's a typical summer carrot perfectly suitable for fresh consumption.
