The pea variety 'Kelvedon Wonder' is one of the early maturing high-yielding pea varieties. With about 70 cm height, it remains rather low in stature, blooming beautifully white and forming many grains per pod. These sweet peas contain less starch than other peas and are therefore very mild. The pods are harvcested while they are still green, so the peas can be taken out. The typically wrinkled seeds can be cooked immediately, or frozen and then processed later if necessary either. They can't be stored for very long as fresh vegetables.
