This Pincushion Cactus, also called Doñana, is a small, prickly cactus from Mexico with firm and sharp thorns. It doesn't grow larger than 5-6 cm and looks like a small pincushion. When it blooms, it often forms a central, large, pink blossom. In Mexican folk medicine, it's used as a medicinal plant against rheumatism and bladder weakness. Out of the fruits, wine is produced.
