'Neckar Queen' is a well established, rugged, robust, medium early climbing bean variety with a very good yield. It forms very long (about 28 cm), green, straight pods that often hang in racemes of 6 pieces. The green beans are round, fleshy, and stringless.
The ripening period is approximately 50-60 days. 'Neckarkönigin' is also suitable for higher altitudes and unfavourable locations

Sow outdoors from the middle of May after the last frosts. Beans are often sown in clusters of five to six seeds together in a planting hole, keeping a distance of about 40 cm between clusters. Row spacing approx 100 cm. The beans should not be buried more than 2 cm deep. Seeds of legumes often germinate better if they are pre-soaked in water for a few hours.
Runner beans are climbers and need a climbing aid or trellis. Suitable rods or cords should be completed and already installed prior to sowing.
Beans are most comfortable at temperatures between 18 and 25 °C. They prefer a sunny, sheltered location and deep, humus-rich soil.
