The 'Lunga di Napoli' like it's also called, belongs to the best winter squashes at all. It forms longish, very large pumpkins that can reach one metre in length and a diametre of 20cm. Apart from the unusual shape, on the outside, it's rather unremarkable with a dark green, slightly flamed skin. On the inside, you'll be surprised by a nearly seedless, orange fruit pulp. You can wonderfully cut the pumpkin into slices and fry them like schnitzel in a pan or bake them in the oven. Of course, this variety is also suitable for pumpkin soup, jam, chutney, or cake, as well. Its typically nutty Muskat pumpkin flavour is simply gigantic.
