This brussels sprouts variety has a mild and sweet taste, and the small cabbage heads are tinted with lovely shades of purple. As the weather gets colder in autumn, the sprouts and foliage of the Red Ball variety develop an ever more intense red color.

The sprouts taste best after they have been exposed to frost.
