Purple Morning Glory originates from Mexico and is used as an indoor plant in trellis and jardinieres. It can be easily grown from seeds and reach a considerable height after only a few weeks. It loves sunny locations and, for that, gifts us with a sea of crimson blossoms. Good to know: The Sweet Potato (Ipomea Batatas) also belongs to the morning glories but forms edible tubers. All plant parts are very poisonous. They shouldn't be planted in gardens where toddlers play!
