Roma Tomato is a plum tomato with meaty, egg-shaped fruits. It is a smaller relative of the variety 'San Marzano' and a real Italian classic. This cultivar is also excellent for the preparation of sauces and soups, as the fruits develop their good flavor only when cooked and it has few seeds. The raw taste of the little juicy, very fleshy fruits with 50-100g weight is somewhat mealy. Roma is a bushy tomato of determinate growth with a height of up to 150 cm and is therefore suitable for the culture in pots on balconies and window sills.
