Rose campion is a very rewarding garden flower: Growing it is uncomplicated, it is undemanding in terms of location, a permanent bloomer, a good melliferous nectar plant for butterflies and bees and will keep coming back for many years by self sowing. It enriches every flower bed with its attractive appearance, because the strong magenta or pink to crimson flowers stand in a very pretty contrast to the grey-green, felt-haired stems and leaves. Very suitable as a cut flower. Unfortunately has no special scent - if you try and smell it, the five little points that surround the middle of the flower will tickle your nose. Historically, the mullein-pink is also very interesting, as there are drawings from 1410 and first written mentions from 1532. This is possibly related to its importance as a symbolic Christian plant. It is a symbol for the 'eye of Christ' and a plant attributed to Mary.

Looks promising Plenty of seeds for an amateur like me. Good germinator, lovely fuzzy plants. Can’t wait for the silver and magenta combo!
