Sickleweed originally occurs from Southern Europe to West Asia. In Germany, it is to be found as a neophyte in the warmer regions. Its characteristic, blue-green, crescentic pinnate leaves and the veil-like blossoms give it a striking appearance. In the nearly natural garden, it appears especially beautiful next to colourfully blooming plants or stony places. Due to its long taproot, it also gets along with extreme drought.
