The 'Baron Solemacher' is a very tasty, old wild strawberry variety which grows bushy and bears enormously many juicy and sweet, little fruits. As it doesn't climb or form offshoots, it is ideal for pot cultivation. It can also be grown well in a plant bag.

The variety was first mentioned in 1935. It originates from the nursery Heinemann in Erfurt, which is steeped in tradition.
