Snap peas are a special form of sugar peas. Their pods lack a parchment layer and are therefore completely edible. The difference is that the pods are particularly thick-fleshed and taste very sweet. They are so juicy that they snap when broken, hence the name. Even when the seeds are already thicker, the pods remain crisp. The 'Delikett' variety remains compact, growing to under one metre, and can also be easily cultivated in pots. It is a robust variety, resistant to powdery mildew.
