The orange cosmos, commonly known as sulphur cosmos, is an annual summer flower native to Mexico and North America. Its bright yellow-orange flowers appear from June and continue blooming until the first frost. This flower is particularly striking when planted in larger groups. The vibrant colour adds a cheerful touch to any garden. Bees and bumblebees also find the orange cosmos delightful, as it serves as an important food source in late autumn when other food supplies have dwindled. The orange cosmos is also an excellent and long-lasting cut flower for vases. The more you cut the flowers, the more blooms the plant produces.
