The Sweet Violet is a scented plant native to Central Europe. It has already been cultivated as a medicinal and decorative plant since antiquity. Of course, it's famous mainly for its typical violet scent which is used for the production of perfume, as well as in the culinary area for tea, liqueur, syrup, vinegar, and desserts. The candied violet blossoms are typical for cake and dessert decorations or for a French candy with the beautiful name 'Violettes de Toulouse'. Furthermore, violets also are the first heralds of spring which bring joy to the heart when barely anything is blooming yet.
