The Teltow Turnip is a famous regional German turnip cultivar, originally from Poland and southern Finland. The spicy vegetable can be enjoyed raw, steamed, or cooked. Its taste reminds of kohlrabi and radish. A classic preparation is the caramelizing of the halved turnips precooked in stock in melted butter.
