Valerian is a perennial shrub that already shows its white- to pink-coloured blossoms in spring. The valerian root is the traditional domestic remedy for sleep problems, exhaustion and nervous sufferings in general. The typical administration form is tea. Up to today, the effect of the valerian root isn't completely clarified. The fresh root as cold extraction is relaxing, dry material, however, is rather stimulating and mood-lifting. Due to its intense smell, which attracts some cats very much, it's also known as yarrow.
