Albina Vereduna is a white beet variety of mild, fine, and rather sweet taste. There have been many more types of beetroot than the standard red variety in former days, like, for example, this white beetroot. It forms round tubers and fits excellent with fish and poultry dishes as raw food or a salad. A huge advantage over the red beet: When processing it, it will not colour your hands red. In addition to the tubers, the leaves may also be used as a vegetable. Boiled, they are similar to spinach and also very healthy because they contain lots of vitamins.
