The wild tulip is an indigenous wild tulip variety with fragrant, yellow blossoms. It's the only tulip variety that occurs wildly in Germany and, therefore, is on the Red List of endangered plants. In Rhineland, in viticultural climate, there are still wild stocks. Apart from that, it almost doesn't occur anymore. The blossoms are edible and can be used as a decoration for creative desserts.
