Wild chili peppers

Wild chili peppers indeed still exist today and have given life to the approx. 1000 chili varieties cultivated worldwide. Their fruits tend to be quite small in size. The Tepin Chili is surely is one of the best-known varieties. It's the wild form of the Capsicum annuum varieties from Mexico.
There, these chilis are still hand-picked in nature, dried, and marketed. However, due to the tedious process of harvesting the small pods, they can be very expensive.
