Mid-July to early August is the right time to sow the last vegetables for the season - the winter vegetable. This means all those vegetables that have a good frost tolerance or even need cold to develop their good aroma, as is the case with kale. In case of permafrost it is still advisable to cover the winter vegetables with a fleece, but in this way you can actually harvest your own fresh vegetables in winter. By the way, winter vegetables are particularly rich in vitamins and strengthen the immune system.

This seed set contains three vitamin-rich vegetable varieties for winter harvest:

Leek "Blauwgroene Winter" (organic) (Allium porrum)
"Blauwgroene Winter" is a traditional leek variety that can be harvested very late into the winter.
Lark's Tongue Curly Kale 'Lerchenzungen' (organic) (Brassica oleracea convar. acephala var. sabellica)
A traditional green-leafed curly kale variety from northern Germany which needs exposure to frosts to develop its true kale flavour.
Corn salad (organic) (Valerianella locusta)
Very unpretentious lettuce variety for autumn / winter with a great nutty taste. Vitamins in the cold season.

The seeds of each variety are packaged in a separate sachet.
