A beautiful yellow-flowering form of Monkshood, which like Blue Monkshood is highly poisonous. This herbaceous perennial grows naturally in Europe’s Alpine regions. In gardens this makes it very well suited to rock garden plantings, though the pale yellow flower stems will also add visual interest to any flower bed. The flowers are nectar-rich, making them an excellent food source for many beneficial insects. This is a gorgeous perennial for natural gardens – and one that can also be used as a cut flower. Due to the substances it contains, this form of Monkshood is also a traditional medicinal plant.
